Summer Photo Shoot - Posing and Swinging

This summer we haven't been home much. Sewing Socials took the whole summer off. And the girls and I literally took off...for a mega road trip that took us to friend's houses, Mt. Rushmore and Yellowstone and a cabin in Colorado. Being with family all along the way was a highlight. Being in the car alone with these girls, sometimes for 10 hour driving days, was at times a low-light.

But all it takes is a look at pictures like these to remember how precious and darling and sweet my girls are. And how patient and talented my husband is. His photography hobby comes in super handy for capturing our kids as they grow up (too fast!) as well as many of my sewing creations.

Grace is wearing a peasant style dress with vintage buttons sewn onto a ribbon for some detail on the front. The body of the dress is Tula Pink voile (soft and light!) and the sleeves are Amy Butler (Lark collection).

Lauren is wearing a pattern by Modkid - Patty Young. The top and straps are jersey (easy to fit and pull on!) with a few tiny buttons for interest. The rest of the tunic length fabric is by Jennifer Paganelli. There's a ruffle at the bottom. I'm still trying to keep my bug girl girly! Swing by Ikea.
