Giveaway Day with Sew Mama Sew

Welcome to MommySaidSew.com. Thank you for stopping by my blog. I live in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Chicago. Give me a shout out in the comments if you're in Chicago! I am a mom to two girls ages 2 and 4. I stay home with them and during nap time I sew. I mostly sew clothing for little girls, but lately I've been making things for myself. I've been a lover of scarves since before I could sew, but now that I can sew and crochet, my scarf collection has grown. Now onto my Sew, Mama, Sew Giveaway... the item I have for you to win is a voile circle scarf.

I love working with voile. It's 100% cotton and it's light weight and so soft and silky. It makes a lovely scarf. This one is shown doubled around in the picture above and can also be worn long as pictured below. I fell in love with this fabric when I found it at Vogue Fabrics in Evanston, IL. I have LOTS of it :)

To enter to win this brand new voile circle scarf, please leave a comment on this blog posting letting me know about your favorite scarf. Is it knit, crocheted, sewn? Did you make it, but it or was it given to you as a gift? Leave your email address in the comment and I'll contact the winner after the contest closes on December 16 at 5 p.m. PST. USA entries only.

Thanks for visiting, I'd love for you to stay a while and comment on my other postings or plan to come back again and read more about what I've been sewing.  Cheers!

This giveaway is now closed.
Congrats to the giveaway winner JennaZ! And thank you for all your comments. I hope you stop back by my sewing blog from time to time to see what I've been making.

The scarf I wear all the time, right now, I found in a parking lot; yes, I washed it before wearing. =) It is brown and snug to my throat, secures with two magnetic clasps.
Your giveaway is beautiful and would easily replace my current fav.

Gorgeous! My favorite scarf is one that I found at the thrift store in the home accessories section - orange and huge, so maybe not intended for wear, but I LOVE it! Thanks for posting a giveaway!

My favorite scarf is one that I purchased on our honeymoon in Bermuda. A strange purchase to make in the middle of August, but it has such beautiful colors in it, I couldn't pass it up!

Crossing my fingers.

My favorite scarf (which I am currently wearing) is a mauve/purple color, woven, and a gift from Kenya that my cousin brought back after working there. It's super soft and warm, and SO versatile. My cousin even used it as a baby carrier!

Sooo pretty!
My favorite scarf (right now, in winter)is one my grandma knit me out of hand dyed sock yarn with a lovely ruffle on the ends.

This is beautiful! I just finished making nine scarves, similar in style to yours but made out of different jersey knits. My favorite was one made out of organic bamboo... sooo soft. But since they're all gifts to be given away, I'd love to win yours for myself!

Wow. . what a lovely blog you have! I am excited to follow you and glean from your posts! I knitted myself a cowl (which I've yet to blog about) from handspun green yarn. It's fun to wear something I've made.

Love your version of a scarf. My favorite, at the moment, is the gray cowl with a shawl collar that I knit myself. Thanks for hosting!

It's getting chilly so right now my favorite scarf is fleece. I recently got a much shorter haircut than I've ever had and I need MORE scarves to keep my neck warm, even indoors!

My favorite scarf was given to me for Christmas by my boss at my old job. It's sort of silk like, and was hand dyed and has sequins. I think he got it at a fair trade import store. I get SO many compliments on it.

My favorite scarf was knit by me while I was in high school. It's not all crazy or anything, it just goes with everything. It's a super long skinny scarf that is slightly ribbed. It's super soft and a bit chunky. It's great to cuddle up around my neck a few times.

My favorite scarf was crocheted by a friend at my MOPS table in my favorite color and super soft yarn. It is rather holey, like a waffle almost.

My favorite scarf is one I knit when I was first learning...it has three different stitch patterns...kind of like a sampler. Thanks for the giveaway! I am not in Chicago but I have visited...stopped in a bar in Logan Square that had pretty good beer.

I love scarves! My favorite one right now is one I bought -- it's a super chunky woven scarf from Peru, and it's big enough to double as a wrap when I get chilly at work!
