Mother and Daughter Apron Set - Great Gift for Christmas

This apron set was a commissioned project from a friend of mine. She's giving it as a Christmas gift. She brought over a kid apron of her own for inspiration and picked out the cute fabrics for this set. I think this combo of prints is great for the large and small scale requirements of the two aprons.

As for the fabric choices: the large medallion is Sandi Henderson's Secret Garden and the small scales are Tula Pink's Parisville. The great colors in these prints were easy to pair with buttons, ribbons and trim!

Nevermind the mermaid appearance of the mom size apron... I should have put it on myself for the photo, but I wasn't exactly camera ready so here it is on the kid size dress form. The waist strap can be tied in front as shown (it would be a bit shorter) or done in a bow in the back. The length falls to the knee. Both aprons tie behind the neck.

Time to cook up something yummy!
